Good design takes effort, and no one wants their efforts to go to waste. After meticulously picking a paint color or scrolling through fabrics, or spending hours measuring (and re-measuring) furniture, the last thing you want your room to do is fall flat. But unfortunately, it’s far too easy to end up with a before-and-after that misses the mark, and one simple reason is this: It fails to make a statement.
